Smart Virtual City
City development requires iterative process of planning, implementing and evaluating various policies and strategies. This encourages smart cities around the globe to adopt Digital Twin technology, an exact copy of a city created as a virtual model. With Digital Twin, could help policy maker simulate various urban strategies through the virtual model and preview the potential impact before it is realised in the real world. This technology could help policy makers model different kind of policies and find ways to cut operating cost and carbon emission through the simulation. This technology further demonstrate how accurate and up-to-date data could improve policy decisions. Further, coupled with Open Data and continuous mapping of the city, the benefit of Digital Twin could potentially be used by various private and public stakeholders for planning strategies and identifying opportunities.
